Initial exploration at Pamel will be focused on collecting surface rock chip samples to provide more complete coverage of the alteration zone that covers two kilometres by four kilometres. Rock chip sampling to date has defined anomalous levels of mercury, arsenic, antimony, barium, lead and gold in a zoned pattern. Trenching has delineated anomalous levels of gold up to 0.38 grams per tonne over 5 metre intervals. Density of rock chip sampling on the property to date is less than one sample per 100 square metres which leaves many areas under explored.
The Pamel Property is a high sulfidation epithermal gold prospect located in the Western Cordillera of the Peruvian Andes which also hosts the Pierina and Yanacocha gold mines. The geological environment at Pamel is similar to that hosting the Pierina deposit with respect to stratigraphy (rock types and ages) and alteration.
